Ex Girls are a shoegaze band from Milan (Italy). Formed in 2019, their dreamy but still immediate sound gravitates around the songwriting partnership of Francesco Brancato and Francesco Negri, complemented by the pummeling and tense rhythmic output from drummer Simone Bertuccio.
While being mostly driven by bright and textured guitars, their first self-titled EP can be described as a sonic collage of mixed influences from bands like Slowdive, Red House Painters, The Notwist, Sonic Youth.
